WELCOME TO LEGENDSNATION.COM
By Bob Dillner
Welcome to a New Nation… Legends Nation.com

Legends Car racing has taken the racing world by storm.  Since its inception in 1992, the popularity of Legends racing has exploded.  Add to the mix the excitement surrounding the young kids in Bandoleros and it makes 600 Racing’s style of competition one of the fastest growing forms of motorsports in the country.  Now total, Legends and Bandos can be see racing at track in 32 different states around the country.
What this style of racing hasn’t had is a non-biased news and information website… that is, until now.  And so, welcome to LegendsNation.com.

I’ve been involved with Legends Cars since I was first introduced to them in 1994 at Riverhead Raceway in LI, New York.  When I moved to North Carolina in 1997, my family began to attend the races at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway’s (then called Charlotte Motor Speedway) Summer Shootout.  In fact, I was even an announcer at the Shootout for a year.  Three years ago, we, as a business, began racing Legends and Bandos for the fun of our company.  Yet, through all these years, getting information about this style of racing has been hard to come by.

This is one of the reasons that prompted us to put together a new website dedicated to Legends and Bandolero racing.  We want to give not only accurate and up-to-date info., but more exposure to everyone and everything involved in the 600 Racing world of Legends and Bandos.

With LegendsNation.com, we will be producing race stories, complete with quotes from the participants involved – so don’t be surprised if one of our correspondents taps you on the shoulder and says, ‘Hey, can I get an interview with you.’  We’ll have leftovers from those races with more into what happened and how; niblets of information throughout the week of the ‘goings-on’ regarding this style of racing, plus features on the people and personalities involved.  We will not hold anything back, but we hope to portray all stories in a professional manner.
On LN, fans will be able to read all about Legends and Bandolero racing. (LegendsNation Photos)
We know and appreciate the fact that 600 Racing just redesigned their website and we have and will continue to work with that organization on many fronts.  The KOIL Tour and LegendsofGA.com also have nice websites, but LegendsNation.com does not have any firm ties to the 600 brand, other than our love for that style of racing.
Our goal is for you to check out LegendsNation.com on a daily basis.  This isn’t a site that will remain stale; we will have fresh stories everyday and plenty of useful information for competitors in our Tech Dept.  This site comes from the creators of Speed51.com, so many of the same people will be working on this site, but we have hired Jason Buckley, who also operates MotorsportsLounge.com, as our Editor.  ML will be a partner of LegendsNation.com, but we will not have any forums or message boards on LN.

Think of what you and your buddy would be talking about the next morning after a race while sitting down at the breakfast table; that’s exactly what you will see in our race coverage.  We will not leave a stone unturned and we won’t shy away from the emotion behind the sport, which sometimes does involve controversy.  Things happen sometimes and we’ll be there, just like networks like SPEED, to give fans the latest news and information.

If you have an idea for a story, make sure you let our correspondents know when you see them at a racetrack, or email Jason Buckley anytime.  We would appreciate any ideas you might have.

We hope you enjoy LegendsNation.com!

Sincerely,
Bob Dillner
Executive Editor, LegendsNation.com
