Scott "The Rocket" Hensley  #5  from Olive Branch, MS, who just turned 13 years old last week, and moved to the Legends this year from Bandos, racing under Chris Rogers Motorsports won Saturday night at Lanier National Speedway, after winning Pole Night at Lowes Motor Speedway on Thursday night.  The Rocket was the fourth fastest qualifier, which put him in the dash for cash with the top six qualifiers.  He finished the dash 5th with teammate Ronnie Bassett Jr winning, Ronnie rolls the dice for inversion and rolls a "5" ( what a lucky number for Scott) the Rocket "5" starts on the pole for the feature.  Several laps  into the feature race, Scott get shuffled back to 5th, he managed to work his way back to the lead, taking the checkered flag as the race was called, when the second and third place cars spun on the track.  This was the Rockets first win at Lanier and wants to thank the fans, Chris Rogers, Max, & Butter, with Chris Rogers Motorsports, and Charlie Trammell with Retirement Companies of America.

Sunday, the second day of racing at Lanier National Speedway, 'The Rocket" drew his usual starting number for the heat race, last in the second heat.  He was able to work his way to a fifth place finish.  He started 9th in the feature with teammate Justin Swilling on the pole.  The Rocket raced hard and picked his way thru the field and finished third, with teammate Justin Swilling winning the race.  He feels good about his two wins and a third place finish this week and looks forward to a good summer of racing under Chris Rogers and Chris Rogers Motorsports.
