Daniel Hemric ONE Thousand Dollars Richer
Daniel Hemric and the No. 21 Dan Snyder Racing Team have had an amazing start to the 2008 season. In the fifteen races he has started he has scored six wins and five second place finishes as he leads the way in National Points. Hemric continued his winning ways this past weekend at Caraway Speedway and Langley Speedway as he added two more wins to his record.
“It started out as a great weekend with Chad (Hackenbracht) and I both winning Friday at Caraway, but yesterday (Saturday) was another story,” said the 17 year old from Kannapolis, NC. Langley Speedway is located in Hampton, VA and paid a $1000 purse to the overall winner on this Mother’s Day weekend. The drivers were given one qualifying lap to determine the starting line up of the forty lap feature. Hemric’s lap didn’t go as planned. “I was going for the pole and I just over drove turn one,” said Hemric. Daniel started the race from the fifteenth position in the seventeen car field.
It took all forty laps for Hemric to get to the front but he did it in style never touching another competitor. “Passing Clay (Hair) on the last lap for the win was the best feeling ever. I had so much fun racing here and I can’t wait to come back. My car was unbelievable tonight. I can’t thank Dan Snyder enough for another perfect car,” added Hemric. Hemric took the overall win and Pro win .132 seconds ahead of Hair. Hackenbracht scored the Semi Pro win. A special thanks to everyone at Langley Speedway. The people, competitors and fans at this track are unlike any other.
