Dylan Ames Sweeps all 3 GA Winter Series Races at Watermelon Speedway

The weather was Sunny and Hot in Cordele this past weekend.  Ames pill drew 4th position of the 6 car Semi-Pro heat race and had 6 laps to get to the front.  With the help of smart driving and a fast race car, Ames worked his #77 Sedan to the point for the Heat Race Win.

Due to car count, the track officials decided to run all the Legends together for the Feature.  The lineup was set according to each Heat race finish, putting the 6 Pro/Masters in the front and the 6 Semi-Pros in the back.  Since Ames finished 1st in the Semi Pro heat, he started 7th in the Feature over all out of 12 cars. 

Since this was Race #11 of the Georgia Winter Series, the battle was to try to win the Semi-Pro Points for the event.  Ames was leading the series with a 23 point lead over the #9 car.  When the green flag flew, Ames focused on racing the Semi-Pros in the field and drove smart.  Ames finished the race in 4th spot overall and took the Semi-Pro Win.  This completed the Sweep of the 3 Winter Series Races at Cordele, GA – Dylan loves this track!
