The Legend Cars were in action as well Friday night with Tyler Smith topping the Charger feature over Tim McCormick and Daniel Conlin, Sr. That qualified Smith to start the Legends "A" main for the first time in his young career. Smith was holding his own in the 25 lap main event but mechanical troubles forced him off the track before mid race.
Chelsea Schillig led the race from the drop of the green and built up a decent lead before the caution flew on lap nine for Gerald White, Jr.'s spin off turn four. At halfway, Dave Gleason, who was having a strong run in the top three, spun in turn four but recovered without a caution. Unfortunately he looped the car again in turn two to bring out the second and final yellow flag.
That allowed Shaughn McCormick to move up on Schillig's bumper for the restart. Schillig, who was battling a loose race car, got a bit high off turn four on lap 14 allowing McCormick to scoot by into the lead. McCormick led the remaining distance to score his first regular season win. Schillig took home the second spot followed by a resurgent White, Mark Bibeau and Alex Kempf. Completing the top ten were Tony Sansom, Rick Wetmore, Dalton Bergman,Dallas Ingram and Gleason.
