FRIENDSHIP MOTOR SPEEDWAY (NC) - LEGENDS AND BANDOLEROS
From FriendshipMotorSpeedway.com - Steven Ross from Stanfield, NC took advantage of a last-lap, last-turn tangle between leader, Ty Dillon and second place runner, Jonathan Ross to claim the win in Friendship Motor Speedways “Super Saturday” action for the INEX Raceceiver Legends today.
Mitchell Coble and Wesley Thompson started from the front row in the thirty lap feature and Coble powered to the lead on the start bringing the cars of Dan Snyder and Thompson along for the ride. The car on the move was the #2 of Ty Dillon who moved into second spot on lap three and began putting the pressure on Coble. Coble was able to hold Dillon off until lap nine when the Lewisville, NC youngster slipped past. Coble settled into second spot with pressure being applied by Jonathan and Steven Ross. The Ross boys moved into second and third by lap 25 and Jonathan Ross began applying a little “chrome horn” to Dillon’s rear bumper. On the final lap, Dillon slipped high coming off turn two allowing J. Ross to slip inside in turn three. Dillon tried to close the door on Ross but the South Carolina driver was already in the space Dillon wanted. The cars bumped in the center of the turn and as both drivers recovered, Steven Ross slipped past to claim the win. Dillon recovered to finish second edging Jonathan Ross. Coble hung on to claim fourth and was the highest finishing Pro division driver. John Ellenburg finished fifth. John Barilka was the highest finishing Masters Division driver with an eighth place finish overall.
Brock Morris from Charleston, WV beat out Transfer, PS’s Justin Kirila for the win in the Bandolero Feature leading flag-to-flag for the win.

BOWMAN GRAY STADIUM (NC) - LEGENDS AND BANDOLEROS
Historic Bowman Gray Stadium was the setting for some great Legends and Bandolero Racing on Friday night. A good crowd witnessed 33 Legends cars and 26 Bandos duke it out as a part of the Advance Auto Parts weekend of events at the "Madhouse". "Downtown" Michael Brown pulled away from a re-start jam behind him to win in the Semi-Pro Division. The second Legends race of the night, which featured the Pro and Masters Divisions, was won by Thomas Hartensveld. Hartensveld held off a hard charging Chris Buescher to the line.
In Bandolero division it was all about the Bassetts. The Winston-Salem Basset Brothers swept the Bando races at Bowman Gray. Ronnie "The Rock" won the Young Gun race while his little brother Dillon, knows best as "Sparkplug", took the checkers in the Bandits division.
Legends Nation will have full race stories with interviews from those who experienced the thrill of victory and agony of defeat at Bowman Gray.

ANDERSON MOTOR SPEEDWAY (SC) - LEGENDS
With one week until the National Qualifier, 14 Legends drivers took to the track at Anderson Motor Speedway looking to take the checkered flag. Anderson always provides great racing, but the fans were treated to some wild extreme racing as John Stancill, Wesley Thompson, Justin Ashley and Brian Weimer slammed off each other for nearly the whole race.
Over the final several laps, Stancill and Ashley raced side by side for the lead with Thompson a few inches behind. Heading into the last lap, contact sent Ashley up the track in turn one, then Stancill went up the track in turn three. When the three came to the line they were side by side by side for a photo finish. Stancill took the close win (and the Semi-Pro victory) over Thompson (Pro division win) while Ashley had to settle for third. Weimer (Masters winner) crossed the line fourth.

GET WELL WISHES TO LEGENDS DRIVER RONNIE BOWMAN
LegendsNation.com received word from Old Dominion Speedway (Mannassas, VA) that Legends driver Ronnie Bowman was involved in a "horrific" wreck Saturday during practice. According to the speedway, Bowman flipped several times down the back stretch of the track and the car went up in flames. Several officials, drivers and crew members extracted Bowman from his car as it was still on fire. He was airlifted out of the speedway.
Speedway officials stated that Bowman will recover, but he suffered second and third degree burns to his body, mostly on his left side. Several others suffered minor injuries as they attended to the burning vehicle.
Our thoughts and well wishes go out to Ronnie Bowman and the others that bravely put their lives at risk to help a fellow competitor.
