Sunday July 8th

FRIENDSHIP MOTOR SPEEDWAY (NC) - LEGENDS & BANDOLEROS

The Legends and Bandoleros took to the track at Friendship Motor Speedway (NC) on a rare Sunday evening as part of the ASA Southern Modified Tour show.  

In the Legends feature (combined divisions), Steven Ross held off a charging Ty Dillon to take the overall race win as well as the Semi-Pro victory.  Kyle Beattie crossed the line third taking the Pro division win with Larry Friddle capturing the Masters win. 

In the Bandolero feature, Ryan Glenski started from the pole position and never looked back taking the race victory.  Justin Grimes finished second with Jeremy Birch crossing the line third.

JORDAN ANDERSON UPDATE

LegendsNation.com spoke to Cliff Anderson, Jordan's father, on Sunday morning.  Jordan is doing better.  He had a concussion and was a little sore from the incident, but otherwise is ok.  They are already looking towards Monday and Tuesday night, and what they can do to race for the next round of the Summer Shootout.

BANDOS & LEGENDS PART OF ASA MOD SHOW AT FRIENDSHIP TODAY

Friendship Motor Speedway (NC) usually runs the Bandolero and Legends races on Saturdays.  But this week it is a little different as the ASA Modified Series is in town to race, shifting all action to Sunday.

The 20-lap Bandolero feature and 30-lap Legends feature will take place right before the 150-lap Modified race, which is scheduled to start at 6:00PM this evening.
Friday July 6th

RACING INCIDENT AT CARAWAY SPEEDWAY INJURES DRIVER

During one of the two Legends heat races at Caraway Speedway Friday night, an incident occured on the track, sending Jordan Anderson hard into the wall.  Anderson was transported to the hospital alert and awake, according to his family members.

CARAWAY SPEEDWAY (NC) - LEGENDS

Semi Pro driver John Stacill beat Pro driver Brandon Thomson to the checkered flag Friday night at Caraway Speedway.  Paddy Rodenbeck, Justin Morton and Kyle Beattie rounded out the top five.  Wayne Austin was the highest finishing Master, snagging yet another division victory.

Saturday July 7th

COASTAL PLAINS RACEWAY PARK (NC) - LEGENDS

The racing action at Coastal Plains was cancelled due to weather.

PLOTT DECLARED LEGAL AFTER SHOOTOUT PROTEST

LegendsNation.com received a phone call Saturday from Alan Plott, father of Bandolero  driver Kyle Plott.  After Wednesday's win in the Bandits division feature at Lowe's Motor Speedway during round five, Plott's engine was protested by second-place finisher Matthew Linker.

After 600 Racing checked his motor, it was declared legal and the win will stand, according to Alan Plott.
