Devin Jones, No. 35, Selects Hurricane Racing
Halfway through the Summer Shootout, Devin Jones, a three-time national sprint kart champion, has selected Hurricane Racing to be his shop of choice for technical support and driver development in his new Bandolero/Legend cars. With just six races under his belt, the No. 35 Bandolero Young Gun is already feeling confident in the car.
Devin said he feels like the amateur version of Juan Pablo Montoya. Coming from a kart that has 2 times more horse power and that is twice as light as the Bandolero, there are naturally going to be some adjustments to make.
“I’ve been impressed with the level of competition in this series. It rivals the national levels of sprint kart racing,” said Devin. “I’ve decided that I’m no longer going to race sprint karts for the factory-CRG-team, PCH Motorsports.”
“We are obviously sad to see Devin go,” said the team manger for PCH Motorsports. “But we know we will see Devin in the lime light in this form of racing very soon.”
Devin’s next steps will be to begin testing in his new Legend car. Later this year he will also begin driving in a Bobby Alison Legacy car.
Devin would like to thank long-time sponsor, Pitts Performance for making the transition with him and everyone at 600 Racing for helping him to get up and going in such a short time.
