Zimmerly Gets Redemption at The Bullring
National Scene: Bullring News
Zach Zimmerly returned to the Bullring 3 weeks after he lost the Semi-Pro Race after dominating Nationals. With all that in the past he was poised to win and dominate the weekend. Zimmerly won the pole for the event and went on to dominate the event leading all 40 Laps. 32 cars started the event, and in contention were a mix of drivers. The top five in the early part of the race included Zimmerly, Derek Frohlich, Rowan Carey, Nick Carey, Bear Rzenoweicky, Karl Foreman, and Jonathan Mawhinney. Bear and Foreman spun at a mid race restart in turns 1 & 2 putting them to the back. Jeremiah Wagner, defending track champion started in the rear of the field, made his way up to 3rd. In the last 2 laps Frohlich made it to Zimmerly's door, but couldn't keep his position. Congratulations to Zach Zimmerly and his team. Fast time was set by Jeremiah Wagner - 16.978
