The 2007 Asphalt Nationals are on tap this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. While the nationals are just for the Legends and Roadsters, Bandolero drivers are also on the card this weekend.

Saturday October 13th
10:38 PM Vegas Time (1:38 AM Eastern Sunday) - Pro Main Results
Roderick passes Stevens at line to win Pro Main!!!
Casey Roderick passed Doug Stevens at the line on the last lap to win the Pro A-Main. The race was a two man show with Stevens showing the way for 39 laps. Roderick was only able to get to his door twice during the race and then put the pressure on with 2 laps to go. The margin of victory over Stevens was .077 seconds.

Clay Hair Dominates
Clay Hair has the most wins in the history of Legends, and he added another on Saturday night. Clay easily dominated the Masters leading all 40 laps of the main event. Another title for the the most successful driver in 600 Racings history.

9:14 PM Vegas Time (12:14 AM Eastern Sunday) - Semi-Pro Results
Zimmerly dominates race.....then the last lap happened.
Zach Zimmerly passed nearly 80 cars, winning the C-Main, then the B-Main. It took 22 laps of the A-Main for him to pass take the lead. Christian Pahud sat in second in the final ten laps, then with 2 laps to go caution came out for a blown motor in turn 1. Setting up a dramatic 2 lap shootout, on the restart Pahud looked to the inside going into the 1st turn. Zimmerly was able to pull away, then on the final lap into the 1st turn Zimmerly was taken out by Pahud. Backing hard into the 1st turn wall, Zimmerly's car was totaled, and Pahud was ordered off the track by race officials. The win then went to John Stancil.

25 Cars started the main event and it was a duel to the end between Charlie Wahl and Michael Van Windgerden. Wahl led a majority of the race, but with 2 attempts at restarts forgone to spinning cars, Van Wingerden made his move with 4 laps to go. Passing each other back and forth for the lead, the rest of the field sprang into action throwing Peeples, Thomas Van Wingerden, Jesse Bunnell all into the mix. Wahl started coming off turn 4 sideways twice, with a tire going down, sealing the win for Van Wingerden.

7:21 AM Vegas Time (10:21 AM Eastern) - The sun is truly shining on Legends Nation this morning!!! With nearly 250 cars pre-registered and more cars flowing in this is set to be the biggest Legends Nationals ever. Right now everyone is lining up for pre-tech and getting signed in. Practice is set to begin at 10AM.
