Wednesday Wars debuts this Week!

For the first time in its 6 year history the KOIL Tour will feature its first midweek racing series, “Wednesday Wars.” The 9 week series will kick off this Wednesday on the

¼-mile Sportsdrome Speedway in Jeffersonville, IN and will feature Legends, Bandolero and Front Wheel drive cars.

“We have to thank Mike Gibson at the Sportsdrome promoting these Wednesday night races,” states KOIL Tour promoter James Michael Spink.  He continues, “This is something we have been trying to do for a while and this year it all worked out.  “Wednesday Wars” will no doubt be a fun and exciting series and will showcase our drivers in front of the greater Louisville market and will be the KOIL Tour’s version of the Lowe’s Motor Speedway’s Summer Shootout.”

A driver’s best 7 races will count towards the “Wednesday Wars” point’s championship.  There will be a point fund for Legends drivers at the end of the 9 weeks as well as special trophies honoring the top 5 drivers in each class (Legends and Bandoleros) at the season ending KOIL Tour banquet.

The Wednesday Wars series will run June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8.  Gates will open at 5pm with practice starting at 6pm and racing at 7pm.  The racing program will consist of heats and features for the Legends and Bandolero Cars.
