12:00pm ET - Rotating practice has started. The track is a bit bumpy, especially entering turn one. While some of the local drivers are tuned into it, others are experiencing the track for the first time, trying to learn it's characteristics.
11:45am ET - The driver's meeting has concluded as the drivers prepare for practice rounds. During the meeting, KOIL Tour director James Spink let the drivers know there will not be a time limit on the main events. Also, if the white flag comes out and a yellow is thrown, there will be a restart. This can occur 100 times for a race, as long as the checkered flag hasn't come out. This came into play yesterday when one of the Bandolero races took multiple restarts to complete the event.
Due to the low car count in the Outlaw division, they will run together with the Young Guns group.
A cool placard was given to all drivers to place in their car for participating in the Nationals event today.

12:30pm ET - Rotating practice continues. Below is the practice times for the Bandolero Bandits. Stephen Bergh won yesterday's Bandits feature here, and by his top time in practice, he is showing to be the favorite to win today's Nationals event. There haven't been any incidents yet in practice, which is good. Two drivers, Brady Boswell and Jacob Wallace, have taken both their primary and secondary cars out on the track in order to shake them both down and see which is the better cars.
11:29am ET - All drivers have been called to the 600 trailer for the driver's meeting to go over race procedure and the schedule for the day.
11:00am ET - It is a great morning here at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky for the 2007 Bandolero and Young Lions Nationals. It is currently 78 degrees with an expected high in the upper 80s for race time.
There are 112 total cars here for the Nationals, including other Legends divisional racers that are here just for the glory of racing. Here is the breakdown:
Bandits: 32
Young Guns: 30
Outlaws: 5
Young Lions 31
Semi-Pro: 5 (non-National division)
Pro: 4 (non-National division)
Masters: 5 (non-National division)
Yesterday there were just over 100 drivers here for the normal KOIL Tour event. While some were racing just for trophies, others used the time on the track for a tune-up prior to today's racing action.
The current schedule for today is as follows:
9:00am : Gates open
9:00am - 11:00am : Safety inspections
11:30am : Driver's meeting
12:00pm - 2:25pm : Rotating practice (2pm-2:25pm qualifying for S/P, Masters, Pro)
2:30pm : Qualifying (1 lap), in order: Bandits, Young Lions, Young Guns, Outlaws

2:22pm ET - It took just 13 minutes to qualify 32 drivers in the Bandolero Bandits division. Kyle Plott was fast time with Stephen Bergh second. Blake Jones, Mason Massey and Kyle Benjamin round out the top five. Full rundown shortly.
The Legends Young Lions are now qualifying.
2:20pm ET - The qualifying session is taking place. While the Semi-Pro, Pro and Masters division races will have their field set by their practice times, the Nationals events have a different format. The cars accelerate from the staging area and come to the green flag one at a time. They get one lap under the green, then drive straight off the track afterwards. This not only gives the drivers experience in qualifying like the racers do at upper levels of racing, but moves the program along quick.

5:41pm ET - Clay Settles took the victory in the Young Guns last-chance race. Jake Dunsmore, Brandon Nelson and Anthony Metallo took the final transfer spots.
Packing up and going home prior to the feature is Joseph Pilato, Jeremy Birch, Jimmy Uteg, Tyler Mullins, Casey Moore and Blake Terry.
The non-National Legends feature event is up next.
5:27pm ET - Chad Hackenbracht took the victory in the Young Lions last chance race. Scott Menlen and Tyler Armstrong crossed the line second and third. For the final transfer spot, Sloan Henderson lost it, then got it back before the end of the race to transfer into the feature.
Going home is Mitchell Wilhelm, Trey Robinson, Zachary Hausler, Cody Blackburn and Landon Bullock.
Young Guns are on the track, warming up for their last chance race.
5:18pm ET - In the Bandolero Bandits last chance race, Caylie Duncanson started on the outside pole, but spun early putting her back in the field. Sean Hosey led most of the race until a late-race restart, when Corey Gordon made a move around Hosey for the lead and held on for the win. Hosey crossed the line in second with Brady Boswell and Darius Garcia taking the final transfer spots.
Jacob Wallace, Jesse Kirila, Blaz Daul, Chandler LeVan, Caylie Duncanson, Trevor Collins, Jeffrey Abbey and Coty Daul all failed to qualify for the feature.
The Young Lions last chance race is on the track.
4:56pm ET - The two heat races have been completed for the combined Pro, Semi-Pro and Masters combined Legends events. Mitchell Coble won the first race with Garrett Lancaster winning the second.
Next up are the 15-lap last chance races. The top four from each division race will transfer up to the feature events.
4:44pm ET - Heat races are complete for the 'Nationals' events. In the Young Guns division, Chad Finchum, Ronnie Bassett, Kyle Nelson and Zac Carter claimed victories, locking themselves into the feature.
The combined Legends Pro, Semi-Pro and Masters non-Nationals heat races are now on track. They will run eight-lap heats.
4:27pm ET - An update for the Outlaws division. Series officials decided to allow the Outlaws to have their own feature race instead of being combined with the Young Guns. There are only five Outlaws, so they will run a 20-lap feature based on their qualifying times (no heats).
4:22pm ET - Heat race victories in the Legends Young Lions division went to Christian Pahud, Josh Williams, Daniel Hemric and Justin Lloyd. A few spins occured during the races, but no one had any major damage. The most controversial issue occured in the final heat race when #83 of Tyler Armstrong and #10 Ryan Blaney had contact on track, resulting in Blaney going for a spin and a caution being thrown. The field was lined back up, but Armstrong wouldn't let Blaney into his restart spot, resulting in officials giving Armstrong a stern warning about his on-track conduct.

The Young Guns are now on the track for their heat races.
3:58pm ET - The Legends Young Lions are on the track for their heat races. Just like the Bandos, they will get 10 laps with the top five transferring to the feature.
3:55pm ET - Kyle Plott, Stephen Bergh, Davey Matthews and Mason Massey all took the heat race wins, putting them into the feature race. 16 other racers locked themselves into the feature. The rest will have to race their way into the race via the last chance event.
3:35pm ET - The Bandolero Bandits heat races are now starting. They will take the top five drivers from the heats and transfer them to the feature. The remainder will have to try to get into the feature via last chance event. The heats are 10 laps a piece.
We will have heat updates shortly.
3:25pm ET - Chad Finchum is the fast qualifier in the combined Young Guns / Outlaws sesson.
8:42pm ET - The word has come down from Scott Reinhardt: all cars passed tech inspection, making the results official.

7:35pm ET - The action has concluded on the track here at Kentucky Speedway, but we are far from done. Drivers and teams still have to pass post-race tech.
Stay tuned for more updates and full field rundowns yet this evening.
7:32pm ET - Chad Finchum took the victory in the Bandolero Young Guns race and is now the champion. Ronnie Bassett came across in second with Kenzie Ruston in third. Bryce Walker and Dylan Pack rounded out the top five.
7:20pm ET - On the last lap, Daniel Hemric bumped Christian Pahud out of the lead as the two drivers ran side by side to the checkered flag. Hemric bested Pahud by .002 seconds for the win. Josh Williams crossed the line in third with Kyle Lowry and Adam Roberts rounding out the top five.
6:52pm ET - Fourth-place Zach Zimmerly ended up spinning in turn two, putting him out of the event. Under the caution, Pahud leads Hemric, Josh Williams, Adam Roberts and Gene Kirila.
6:50pm ET - Resembling the chaos of the Summer Shootout, the Legends Young Lions have already logged numerous cautions. One driver, Matthew Stover, was warned for contact on the track, then black flagged and sent off the track by officials for rough driving.
Christian Pahud has led pretty well the whole race with Daniel Hemric on his tail.
6:45pm ET - With just a few laps to go in the Bandits race, Kyle Benjamin made a move by Kyle Plott for the lead and the win as the 2007 Nationals champ. Blake Jones finished third with Mason Massey and Stephen Bergh rounding out the top five.
The Legends Young Lions are next up on the track.
6:26pm ET - An unfortunate event for early leader Davey Matthews. The #05 of Bayley Currey, who spun early, was in the groove going into turn two as a lapped car. Matthews and Currey got together, causing Matthews to spin. The caution came out, but the racing rules put him to the back of the pack for spinning and bringing out the caution. Matthews ended up pulling off track before the restart.
Kyle Plott currently leads on the restart.
6:21pm ET - The Bandit race has been plagued with lap-one cautions, forcing multiple restarts. Finally they got a few laps under their belts before another caution came out for a single car spin. Davey Matthews currently leads with Kyle Plott in second. Kyle Benjamin, Stephen Bergh and Dillon Bassett round out the top five.
6:14pm ET - Christopher McKinney is the 2007 Bandolero Outlaw champion. McKinney dominated the race and never looked back on the way to the checkered flag. Kendall Sellers crossed the line second with Nathan Rodgers, Emily Patton and Kayla Turner rounding out the top five.
Next up is the Bandolero Bandits race. Kyle Plott, Davey Matthews, Kyle Benjamin, Stephen Bergh and Dillon Bassett are the favorites going into the race.
