Not Going To Vegas?  Go To Lowe's Motor Speedway Instead

For those not heading to the big city and bright lights of Las Vegas for this coming weekend’s Legends Car Nationals at The Bullring, there is still plenty of Legends and Bandolero racing around the Carolinas.

And the post-NASCAR Nextel Cup qualifying events at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Thursday night top this weekend’s list.

For those who race at LMS during Nextel Cup events, a huge audience awaits.

As usually happens, the Legends and Bandoleros will take part in “exhibition races” on the front stretch quarter-mile before the start of NASCAR Nextel Cup qualifying for Saturday night’s Bank of America 500.

However, early entry lists for both the Bandoleros and Legends races have been sparse according to the list provided to Legends Nation by 600 Racing.  A total of just 10 Legends Cars and 13 Bandoleros have pre-entered for the event as of Tuesday.  However, 600 Racing officials were quick to point out that the number of entries doubled Tuesday afternoon and many people won’t register their car up until the cut-off point, which is at Noon on Thursday.

All of the Legends cars entered are either Young Lions, Semi-Pros or Masters.  No Pro drivers have entered.  In the Bandos, all are Bandits or Young Guns.  There are no Beginner Bandits or Outlaws entered in the event.

Events begin at LMS on Thurday (10/11) at 4pm with a driver's meeting.  Racing will run from 4:50 to 5:50pm
