Friendship Makes Schedule Change For Legends & Bandoleros

Friendship Motor Speedway announced today some minor schedule changes in the remaining events for the INEX Legends and Bandoleros at the speedway located in Elkin, NC.

Friendship Motor Speedway produces close racing action, but not many cars have shown up to race this season.

“We have decided to make a few changes in the remaining events” said FMS Promoter, Randy Myers.  “First I want to thank the Legends teams that have supported the track throughout the hot summer months.  With their support we have managed to learn a lot about the Legends and Bandolero programs.  I have a great deal of respect for the division and the way it keeps the families involved in the learning process for the kids involved and the opportunities it gives the folks in the Masters division.  Our car count has not been what we had initially expected and that may be partly my fault.  I have not been able to promote the “Super Saturday” program as well as I wanted and I’m sure that has some bearing on what is happening.  I also did not fully understand the importance of some of the “National” events to some teams and the strength of schedule at some other places.  I can assure you that won’t be the case in 2008”, Myers said.

The revised schedule eliminates the event scheduled for this Saturday, September 8th.  We will run a regular “Super Saturday” program on September 15th.  The Saturday program scheduled for September 22nd will move to Friday night, September 28th as an addition to our regular Friday night program.  This change is being made primarily due to the two-day event at Concord Motorsport Park on the 21st and 22nd.  The Legends program on the 28th will be a special event with details made available early next week.

Friday – September 28 – Legends (Special Event)

Saturday – October 6 – Legends & Bandoleros (Final Event)
