OUTLAWS – Stellar Sellers Wins Race, Turner Wins Championship
Kendall Sellers has had a fantastic 2007 racing season. Multiple wins at multiple tracks has the Outlaw division drivers trying to play catch-up to the #6 machine. Sunday Sellers continued his track domination by taking another win on the dirt at Millbridge Speedway.
“We won about three or four races here this year,” said Sellers. “That is partially luck and also preparing at the shop so we are ready when we get here.”
Nathan Rodgers led the opening laps of the race, but a slight mishap caused him to lose the lead, handing it over to Sellers.
“I messed myself up going down into turn one,” said Rodgers. “It was my fault. I was trying to run down on the bottom of the track where I like to run but a couple times I got too low and messed myself up. That is how I lost the lead and almost tagged the wall.”
Kayla Turner learned a lot racing in her first year on dirt.
While Sellers celebrated another race win, it was Kayla Turner taking the Outlaws track championship by showing up and competing at every race this season at Millbridge.
“I have never ran dirt before this year,” said Turner. “I was kind of scared the first time I came out here but it was fun. I am glad I got a championship finally. I am catching up to my brother. He has a lot of championships.”

YOUNG GUNS – Squidget The Champ
He might have been the only Young Gun on the track, but Kyle “Squidget” Shano was all smiles after the race, after being crowned the Millbridge Speedway Young Gun spring track champion.
He might have been the only Young Gun on the track, but Kyle “Squidget” Shano was all smiles after the race, after being crowned the Millbridge Speedway Young Gun spring track champion.
“It means a lot,” said Shano. “I love this place. I like driving the Bandolero and it put icing on the cake with the points.”
Shano will be returning to Millbridge in the fall, but he will be competing for the championship in a new car and division.
“When we come back we will be in a Legends car,” he stated. “I have driven about five races in the Legends car. I am now ready to race it. I am taking the knowledge I gained from racing Bandoleros and the Sprint Kart to drive the Legends.”
BANDITS – Learning Dirt Is The Ticket For Jordan Stillwell
The field for the final Bandits division was small. Jordan Stillwell finished first and last, all at the same time in the division of one. Even though the Bandits track championship was easy for the taking, Stillwell used the time on the dirt to hone in on his skills as a racer.
“I learned that you just have to be smooth to win,” said Stillwell. “You have to drive it deep into the corner to get speed. You can drive it a whole lot deeper than you can on the asphalt.”
Stillwell looped it in turn four, but kept going.
Stillwell also found the frustrating side of racing on a dirt track when he looped his car in turn two, getting stuck on the inside of the track.
“The worst part of dirt track racing is when the track is wet on the bottom and you lose it getting into the mud.”
