Spooktacular Set For LMS 1/5-Mile In Early November
What’s better than getting to race your car on a beautiful early November afternoon? Well, getting to bob for apples for your starting position and paint and decorate your car in Halloween colors of course.

Those are exactly two of the things that make the Spooktacular at Lowe’s Motor Speedway one of the most anticipated events of the season for Bandolero drivers.
The Spooktacular, which will celebrate its seventh anniversary in 2007, is a little more “laid back” then the rest of the races that will be run at the 1/5-mile track behind turn three of Lowe’s Motor Speedway during the Winter Heat season. Surprising that its laid back too, considering the Bandolero-only event consist of 100-lap events for all three Bandolero classes (run in two 50-lap segments)
The event, scheduled for November 3, begins with competitors “bobbing for apples,” which will determine starting positions in the first feature. Then, after practice, the first 50-lap race for each of the three Bandolero Divisions will be run. After a short intermission, the second 50-lap event for each division will be run. The finish order from the first 50-lap race will determine the starting order for the final segment.
In addition, the day will include contests for the best decorated (spookiest) car and driver, as well as a pumpkin carving contest. There will also be food served.
